Lokasteinn Icelandics is located in north central Pennsylvania. We have been involved with the Icelandic Sheepdogs since 2004 when we got our first Icelandic Sheepdog, Nor'Star Disa Be Kiska. When fellow Icelandic Sheepdog owners and breeders told us that we would want more, we thought they were crazy. We now have three females and could easily add more to our family.

We plan to breed Kiska this winter with puppies available in the spring or early summer. In the mean time, she will continue her Agility Competitions. She has her Novice Agility titles and only needs one more qualifying run in JWW and Std to earn her Open Titles. Kiska has participated in Herding Clinics, Rally, Obedience, Conformation, and has her AKC Canine Good Citizenship (CGC) and Therapy Dog International (TDI) certifications.

Lokasteinn Visa, a tan, black and white sable, will be two in May 2009. We will not breed her until she has passed this milestone birthday. Currently she is training for Agility, Rally, Herding and Obedience. This summer she entered her first Conformation Match and won Best Puppy 12-18 month. Visa has successfully passed her AKC Canine Good Citizenship and Therapy Dog International certifications.

Anaegja was imported from Finland in 2007. We were fortunate to work out a puppy exchange with the breeder in Finland. We are very happy to have Anaegja in our famly. Anaegja is a Chocolate Sable, AKA Tan Shade Chocolate. We have high expectations for her puppies when we breed her in 2009. Anaegja is training in Agility, Rally, Herding, and Obedience. She won second place in her first Conformation match in 2008. She passed her AKC Canine Good Citizenship and Therapy Dog International testing the same day. She now has her certification for both.

Please contact us if you are interested in an Icelandic Sheepdog puppy. Our dogs are not bred until they are over 2 years of age. CERF eye tests, hip tests, and Brucellous tests are completed for all dogs before breeding. Dogs are AKC, CKC, UKC, ARBA registered. The dogs are registered with the Icelandic Sheepdog Association of America (ISAA), the parent AKC breed club for the Icelandic Sheepdog in the US.
